This was an absolutely wonderful marathon experience. Finding a place to stay required a bit of planning ahead as hotels fill up very fast. Once I got to Duluth the city was very welcoming. I rant into traffic when I was going to the Expo and packet pickup but once I was parked and in the Expo Center everything went really smoothly. The Expo was great with plenty of vendors and interesting things to look at. The day of the race I was nervous about getting to the starting line however the shuttle buses were very well organized and easy. The race was deceivingly challenging. There were plenty of rolling hills but not so challenging that a PR isn't a possibility. After the race I was in a bit of a post marathon stupor and had some difficulty finding the buses that would shuttle you back to the hotel so I would recommend double checking that before the race! The race was well managed, well aided and the town was very proud and welcoming. I would recommend this race to anyone looking for an excellent experience!
