Overall
This is a great race! It is Wizard of Oz themed and each year the medal has been a different character from the movie. This year (2015) it was Dorothy! See pic below.
T-Shirt/Swag
We got a nice technical fabric shirt that fit nicely. They had womens and men shirts so that is always a positive.
Aid Stations
A++ on the Aid stations! They were handing out Gu, vaseline, baggies for your phone and other candy/snacks along with water and Gatorade.
Course Scenery
The course was good. A lot of miles were spent on a paved trail so it felt like you were out in the woods.We also briefly ran through downtown Olathe and through some residential areas. We did run into some large mud puddles on the course that made it difficult at times, but overall good course.
Expo Quality
The expo is small. Just a few vendors. It is held at a Hotel in the lobby so there isn't a lot of room. It is more of a packet pick up than an expo.
Elevation
The race is one of the flatter marathons I've ran, but I wouldn't call it 100% flat. We had some rolling hills.
Parking
Parking is at Garmin Headquarters and is a very short walk from their parking lot to the starting line. Plenty of free parking!
Race Management
They put on a great race. It's a smaller event but I enjoyed it! Great volunteers.
