Come January 28, all eyes will be on the main event - the Miami Marathon & Half Marathon. Come out and explore all the wonderful things that make Miami famous. The Miami Marathon & Half Marathon takes you through the streets of Miami starting in front of the Miami Heat arena, to scenic Miami Beach, through the Wynwood art district and back to mainland Miami for a grand finish in the lovely downtown bay area.

Every year, we pay tribute to the star of the show — the course. Runners count on the course to pull them through each mile, and every year this route doesn’t let them down. Mile after mile, the beautiful views help propel runners to the finish line. Be on the lookout for sights that you might recognize from a hit TV show or movie - many of those hot spots are actually part of this incredible course!

Friends, family and curious spectators will fill the roadways with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that choose to RUN MIAMI! Register today to ensure your #MiamiFamous moment as we kick off 2018 with this spectacular event. It's #NotMiamiWithoutYou!

Lisa Johnson's thoughts:

Great experience this year, the expo was at a prime location to experience the wynwood art scene and get your race stuff. Faster packet pick up than ever before, but you are going to want to check out the expo and the fun fitness classes provided. They even had ultra marathoner, Dean Karnazes run a shake out run!!
Had no issues with parking on race day and traffic was even better than usual this year. Plenty of pre race potties and corrals were organized well. Race entertainment was great on the course and pineapple at two sections of the course, exactly when I required it. The residents of Coconut Grove were out offering candy/water hose spray downs and beer along the way. Weather was not ideal but that is uncontrollable and most powered through. Plenty of water on course and I drank a lot of it out there. The medal is spectacular and the post race food was the best I have had after a race. DeliverLean provided post race meal boxes and had a vegetarian option! Did I mention fitbit was the sponsor this year and provided free race photos!!
