This is a solid choice if you're in need of an August Half to prepare for a September Full or if you want a good race in August. I like the medal - cute design, large, and heavy. Tech shirt isn't bad. You are treated well before and after the race. The course is mostly on county roads so very, very few spectators. And obviously not very scenic when compared to other "city" races. Also, if you're hoping for some shade every so often, it's not here. Overall, I enjoyed it and am glad I did it, but wouldn't do it again any day time soon. I do recommend it though.
