We had a great time at the weekend. My mum and I completed the 5k together
We took a slow jog so as to take in the race. As it was a night time race in September of course it was dark so scenery was somewhat limited in palaces. But! We got to though the Disney parks and there were characters out in the course from the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers (the race medal was Thanos) however the lines were so long we didn’t stop for photos with the characters on this race. I think because it was such a short distance and there was maybe 4 character stops (with various character switching in and out) there was a lot of build up for the lines. It probably didn’t help that we also set off i the 2nd to last coral. So more character stops would be better to try and spears people out. It is a flat race and I haven’t commented on parking as we stayed in the hotel onsite so this wasn’t something I experienced. But overall it was great fun, music on the way round, cast members cheering you on and spots for spectators. The medal is awesome! Can’t wait to go again this year.
