The Dirty German Endurance Fest takes place in Pennypack Park in Philadelphia. The race offers a 25K, 50K and 50M. I ran the 25K which cost me $55. The start line pavilion was difficult to find and an address for GPS sent out in emails were not correct.

The race course was a 25K loop which crossed a creek 3 times, the first creek crossing was in deeper water. I heard a few women comment “if I had known this was on the course I would not have registered”

Race support was abundant and offered more than enough for a 25K. At the finish line all finishers were given a 32 ounce growler. Post race food consisted of german sausage, potato salad and banana bread. The post race party entertainment was German music.

My only compliant is that for $55 my growler should have included 32 oz of beer. I run for beers.
