Amy 's thoughts:

I am a new runner and The Pittsburgh Marathon was my first Half Marathon ever run. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From training to race day, I found the marathon company extremely accessible and supportive. I must admit that I got an added bonus by getting the experience to run this race as a Delegate, representing the state of Pennsylvania, and this made it even more special.

I love hills and they are spread through out the entire course but not overwhelming. There is also a great local support. Even in the very wet conditions run in, the locals came out to cheer on the runners. This made it so much easier to keep going, even when things got tough.

All in all, I highly recommend running the Pittsburgh Marathon when you have the chance. It may not have the snazziest swag or the most perfect terrain, but it is an experience I wouldn't give up for the world.
