Race Management
This was my first time running this race, but I have run a race with this management company before. They are great. It was very hot, the race started at 7:30 am and it was already 80. The team made sure to remind everyone that they needed to hydrate. There were many water stations, and one had a hose with a soft sprayer, which was great and the one right before the final hill had wet sponges, that felt like a life saver.
The scenery is nice, you start and end with the baseball field, and go around a lake as you run. It had some elevation but not too rough. There was a little expo with lots of freebies, including a rehab place doing tapings and a chiro helping people stretch.
The food was super yummy, there was corn on the cob and water melon, along with a lot of cold water or beer, depending on what you like.
There was also was a free photo booth, and there will be free race photos.
All in all, this is a super fun race where I ended up with a shirt, water bottle and coozie. The only thing that I wished that it had was medals for finishers.
