This was my fourth time pacing this half marathon, and it's a well-run race on a beautiful course. The course is super flat (and I live in a flat area) and starts and ends on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, with much of the rest of the course on the crushed-stone trails of Cape Henlopen State Park (there are paved areas as well). The expo is small, and it was easy to get my packet and packets for others with a form for each person and a copy of each person's ID.
I had to get to the race an hour and 20 minutes early as a pacer, which made it easy to get free street parking right by the start line. It's during a time of year that there's free parking.
Swag is great — a shirt and pint glass at packet pickup, plus a finisher BOCO Gear hat, medal and free photos afterward. There is also a post-race party with food and beer at Grotto Pizza.
I thought communication was great and I didn't have any problems. I would recommend this race and hope you can join me in the 2:45 pace group!
