Not your typical 5k This is a unique race as it’s done with business or corporations. You can only run if your business participates. I did this race many moons ago and recently wanted to get my company involved. You need to sign up a team. Luckily my manager was onboard. Which also meant having a tent and paying for tables chairs ect for the prerace post race fun. We also made our own shirts. Many companies do the same. Parking can be tough but they do offer shuttles. Since I helped plan I got there around 3pm and was able to find parking within walking distance. I think this race is more about community than the actual run. It’s a big party. There are so many people and if you really want to run it get to the start early. I wouldn’t expect a PR at this one due to crowds. But a great chance for walkers to do a 5k without pressure to be fast: there is no medal. I wasn’t a huge fan of shirt design though they are tech shirts. It’s a great event, you need to start looking into months prior and again need your company to do. Hopefully Team Southwest Airlines BUF will do in the future.
