Kim Prytherch's thoughts:

RaceFest was a little different this year but it was a live race, so I’m thrilled about that. Packet pickup was at Armored Cow and it was super smooth. They had a good truck too so we had lunch which was fun. My friends loved the beer selection.
Race morning we parked easily, and the race was getting underway. We were wave 5 so we had time to use the stinky porta potties and stretch before we started.
The bulk of the race was on the greenway. It was maybe a quarter mile each way on the road. With a half and a 10k going on together there was some bottle necking which wasn’t ideal. I’d say 25% race fault and 75% rude runners. The scenery was gorgeous. The greenway ran along UNC campus and there was lots to look at.
The hills were a little rough. This is usually a hilly race so it’s all good there. Course support was on point and they had tons of water and snacks at the finish, as well as beer for participants. There were multiple food trucks as well.
The medal is awesome and the shirt fits well and is good quality!
We had a great time, but I hope the race goes back to South Park next year!
