This is the second race in NRC's "6 mile series" in 2017.
Pros: I love Bowie Park and loved the opportunity to run all of the trails in the park. The location is great and the trails offer a little of everything: creek crossings, single & double track trails, through fields and woods. Hosting this event at a park also means easy parking and actual restrooms. Win! Shirts were nice too and free photos are a plus.
Cons: These races don't offer a lot as far as post-race snacks go (usually banana, donuts and water/gatorade). The trails at this race got congested at times and it was hard to pass in some areas. Faster runners got a little lost in a few spots but they'd addressed confusing intersections by the time I came by.
All in all NRC does a nice job!
