It was a great race and a fun time. Nice work by volunteers. It was a flat, easy course. I would prefer Gatorade or PowerAde on the course. Instead there was Beetster and hot tea. Few are used to drinking these.
Overall - great scenery and worthy of a world major.
I would have liked a nicer design for the finisher shirt.
I liked the option to get a finisher's poncho at the end.
I heard some people say they should have more porta-potties at the beginning.
This was my seventh full marathon, and first time for Berlin marathon. I've run over 100 half marathons, including all 50 US states, plus DC, and 5 foreign countries. I provide running and racing resources for all levels of runners at
