Ran this even in 2013, but the 2014 was a beautiful spring day where I ran with friends and neighbors. Parking is always easy, the crowd is good and friendly, the course scenic, and the support at water stations is great. There isn't much crowd support, but the few musicians on the course deserve special credit. 2014 provided an interesting comparison and contrast to the larger event further to the north which happened to occur the day after this one. I did both and prefer the Asbury Park Half, its course, its organization, and its swag. No doubt the smaller field and the more humane start time will draw me back for a third year.
