This race was – dare I say – a near perfect run? It felt easy, I could have kept going! No tummy troubles, no dehydration, nothing. I didn’t go crazy and run it too fast at the beginning either like I did last month. It went by super fast, too.

PROS:
- The long-sleeved hooded shirt is a shirt that I actually wear a lot. It looks cool and it's nice quality.
- Packet pickup was easy - just swing by the running store in Jackson the night before and you're good to go! Super simple.
- The volunteers helping along the course were friendly and many were dressed up in costumes which was nice and funny.
- The food afterwards was good. Other than water/gatorade I didn't eat any of it but B did and really enjoyed my "ticket" that came with my entry.
- Parking was easy - we did arrive early to the race start so that may have been a factor - but for us we parked not even a block away from the start/finish.

CONS:
- The course really wasn't all that interesting. Some neighborhoods. Some streets. Some other streets. A medical center, and yeah that's about it. Nothing super scenic here to look at! BUT it did give B a couple of access points where he could snap some photos along the course.
-Though lanes of the roads were closed off to car traffic, the roads and intersections were open. Police and volunteers kept things running smoothly but, I have to say, I do appreciate a race where I don't have to worry at all about car traffic.

Verdict: I'd run it again. :)
