This year it was hot, but it was a phenomenal race. Aside from a drawbridge at mile 2, the course is flat. It runs along the beach and there is a surprise park around mile 6. The one downfall is the route is wide open - no trees, shade, etc. That hurt during the heat. But this is a must race especially for northerners wanting to escape the snow and bitter cold the winter brings
