The Missoula Marathon is always an amazing experience! Everything from the course, local community, volunteers and family friendly events makes this the last best race!

The course is a flat, fast scenic route through Missoula. The finish line is my favorite part of the course. The finish is at the end of a bridge lined with crowds of spectators! The rush you get crossing the bridge is next level! I can’t remember a time where I didn’t sprint over the bridge from all of the encouragement and excitement!

This race is super family friendly! There’s a distance for everyone and it’s so easy to get the whole family involved. I love watching my kids run the kids marathon. My husband loved the beer run and I love the half marathon. It’s a great family weekend for all!

The Missoula Marathon always has awesome race swag, from the the included swag to the purchased swag. You can’t help but buy all of the MM gear!

This was my 8th time running the Missoula Half Marathon and it has always been my absolute favorite half marathon. I highly recommend this race to any and all runners and walkers alike!

Let me start by saying that this was my best racing experience yet! Negative Split puts on the most amazing races and the Spokane running community is truly the greatest. Packet pickup was super convenient and easy. It was located in a motel near the race start. I took full advantage of the Windermere runners discount and stayed in the same motel as packet pickup.

The race went really smoothly and was well run. There was quite a bit of fun stuff going on at the start/finish. My favorite part was the music! I am one of those awkward people who love to dance around before the race so it is as perfect for me because I had actual music to dance to!

The course was a really nice out and back along the river and through some other fun areas. The absolute best part of this race was the energy of the out and back course. After the turn around point I got to high five, thumbs up and cheer on every single person running the race. It was the most awesome feeling! My fastest miles were the ones where other races were cheering me along. There’s nothing quite like it. I managed to finish 1st place remake and I swear it’s because of the encouragement from other racers.

The finish line was in a perfect location! There was so much going on and something for everyone. My something was the coffee truck! Latte and cool down walk?! Yes please! The finisher medals, award medals and race shirts were all so beautiful and great quality.

I will 100% be racing the Windermere 10K again next year!

I’d like to start by complimenting Negative Split for all of the work they put into making an in-person race happen. Even with all of the COVID-19 precautions and measures they had to take, this was a very well organized.

Packet pickup will very quick and easy. We got our medals at packet pickup to minimize contact. Start times were selected in advance and there was a rolling start. Show up at your selected time and start. That simple. There were several other runners but encounters were brief. I’ve never run a race where the other runners were so encouraging. That was a really nice perk being that there were no cheering spectators. The aid stations were great! Everything was laid out nicely on a table to make it easy to do a running grab.

The course was a scenic path that followed the river. There was a waterfall and a couple bridges to cross. 10/10 for scenery! From my understanding this was not the usual course for this race. The course was well marked and runners were able to get live directions on the RaceJoy app.

Well done Negative Split! I can’t wait to do this race again in 2021!

This was my first year running the Snow Joke Half Marathon. The race was well organized. There’s no standing outside in the freezing cold Montana weather. The school is open for packet pickup, bathrooms, stretching and to stay warm before the race starts. The course was was a fun loop around Seeley Lake. It was very icy for the majority of the race. Next year I will be wearing my cleats. There was also quite a bit of uphill running on the course. Nothing drastic but running uphill on ice adds to the challenge. And the most important part, the swag. The snowman medals are so stinking adorable! You can also purchase a Snow Joke technical long sleeve with the adorable snowman on it. On the whole it was a freezing fun race! I will be running it again in years to come!

This was my 5th year running the Missoula Half Marathon. I love everything about it. From the course, the organization, the volunteers, the fun atmosphere, the community involvement. I don’t think there’s a marathon that even compares to the Missoula marathon. I am looking forward to running the Missoula marathon in the years to come!
