This was the 2nd annual of this race event. My girlfriend and I ran the 5k together. It was a very chilly start in the mid to low 30’s. The course starts off flat and about .5miles in you start running up a few steep hills. Once you get up the 3hills then you begin to go back down hill to make your way to the finish line. Very scenic course. You get amazing views of Lake Washington 5k n the distance and of the Bellevue skyline. Juanita Beach Park is a great location for running events. I recommend this race to anyone. It can be challenging in some spots but overall a great race.

This is my favorite race to kick off the new year and racing season. The course is super flat and fast. Perfect race to secure your next PR. Bands at every mile and the spectators are full of energy. This event offers a 5k on Saturday and Marathon Half Marathon 10k distances on Sunday. Coming to 2018 is the one mile race on Friday night. Mark this race on your calendar.
