I ran with my Running CRew, Concrete Runners, we were Team 74. This was my first Relay and it was 12 runners, our captain was awesome, very organized. We had one van for 12 runners! You think that would have been a disaster, but my team was so awesome and motivating, it was one the best running experiences I ever had. When you run Ragnar, key tips. Each 12 runner will run 3 runs, Miles vary depending on what you pick, I had 3 exchanges, and with each run, I made a ziplock bag on my running gear that I was going to run in. I would put my stinky running gear in that ziplock bag that would be empty once I changed into my new running clothes. I had a backpack with my food, water bottles, my Nuun tabs, Gu energy gels, and one extra running outfit for emergencies. You will need to have a reflective vest and a small light that blinks which you will put on the back of your vest or back of your hat. You will need a head lamp for running in the night. We had shower pill sponsor us, and muscle milk so we had wipes when we were done running, and my protein shake after I ran.
Each runner picks a leg, and I chose leg 3 so I can get my runs done earlier, and don't have to wait. Sometimes the anticipation was overwhelming but I had such a good team, we were delirious and laughing a lot. I got to run in Sausalito in the morning, and then my next run was at night somewhere in between like Windsor, and then my next one was in the early morning like 7am.
You can divide the 12 runners into 2 vans, but I'm so glad we didn't have too. At the end, we ran together as a team to the finish line and enjoyed the festivities, free pizza, and if you want beer it was at a discount.
I would definitely do this again with my team 74!

My first marathon running 26.2 miles! Great medal and great shirt swag. I made this a family vacation and the finish line was near Waikiki beach. It starts at 5 am, fireworks going off at the start line! Amazing! Named top 10 marathons in the world!
I also ran with some of my Crew, Concrete Runners. This race had great aid stations, age varied, some had costumes on, it does get hot and humid esp in December in Hawaii, but no cut off time. Malasadas at the finish, one of my biggest medals!

Ran this with my running crew, Concrete Runners, we were sponsored by the Warriors. Such a fun event, think street party! Everyone wearing costumes! Cmon its San Francisco! Great shirts and expo! Parking I actually reserved a spot. Bay to breakers website was so informative and had links for parking.
