I wanted my first half after surgery and recovery to be here, at home, in Halifax. I am glad I did. It felt great to pull this out with people I knew and a city that loves BlueNose Marathon Weekend :)

The Race Expo has definitely gotten better as the years have gone by.

Halifax has hills. Elevation Gain is 813ft. Elevation Loss is 818ft. Minimum Elevation is 18ft, with Maximum Elevation at 246ft. Mostly pavement with gravel trails through Point Pleasant Park.

This was my 3rd time running the Half Marathon Route. The Volunteers and Spectators are AMAZING. They really keep you motivated, especially after Point Pleasant Park. This year they had Volunteers to run up the hill in PPP with you! This is great, because it's a demon hill ;)

Everyone should run this race at least once to experience the route AND the wonderful Volunteers and Spectators :)
