This was the best race I've ran in terms of support, organization, just about everything. Of course, being a World Marathon Major, it should be. This was a race I've thought about running for a very long time, and I'm still excited I had the opportunity. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Absolutely recommend anyone that has the ability to run it apply for the lottery and hopefully get that chance.

PRE-RACE – B – they had bottled water, bananas and oranges at the church.
COURSE – Aesthetics – A; Interest – B-
SUPPORT – B
POST-RACE – B- — only had water and oranges
AWARDS – B- — had awards after both the half and full were finished
OVERALL – B- — race’s first year had good points, but also areas in which to improve.

Friend helped with packet pick-up.
Pre-race was well organized...good communication through PA and countdown clocks.
Nice course along Lakeshore Drive and the Chicago Lakefront Trail.
Wonderful finish on the 50-yard line of Soldier Field.
Great post-race, allowing time for all finishers to enjoy.
OVERALL...if my schedule allows, I'd definitely do it again! It was a really great time.
