Jen 's thoughts:

Overall a great race! All women, which can be motivating. You can enter as a team so there were a lot of team t-shirts and fun groups. The 6pm start time is unique. While I wasn’t a fan of waiting around all day to race, I did enjoy sleeping in that morning!

Course: The course was a big loop through the beautiful Osterville, MA. Big houses, nice scenery. The first 2 miles are relatively flat with some rolling hills in the final mile.

Parking: The start/finish is at a school so there is plenty of parking, especially if you’re like me and get there early.

Bathrooms: Again, the start/finish is at a school so you can use the bathrooms inside the school. It’s small—only 2-3 stalls, with a couple porta potties outside.

Swag: Not much swag but the cotton long sleeve t-shirts are nice!

Food: Post-race refreshments include pizza, popcorn and watermelon.

Awards: They give a lot of age group awards. Top 3 for every 5 years. (Example 20-24, 25-29, etc.) They were pretty unorganized at the award ceremony and it seemed like it took forever. The medals are really cheap and don't even say the year or place. No cash prizes.

Other: Try to avoid warming up in the fields behind the school. It’s grassy but there are a lot of holes/uneven surfaces! I almost twisted an ankle on multiple occasions!
